Terms of Use and Service Agreement
1. Acceptance of Agreement & Introduction
By downloading, installing, or using the PassNode mobile application, you legally agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please cease using the service.
2. Nature of Service (Local-First Architecture)
PassNode is a decentralized and local-first password management application. Your sensitive credentials are never transmitted to any external server or cloud database, and are encrypted strictly on your physical hardware using military-grade AES-256 standards. The application utilizes network access solely to transmit anonymous, non-personal usage metrics via Google Analytics to improve system performance.
3. Master Password & User Liability
The Master Password you establish during initialization is the sole element that decrypts your secure vault. Due to our zero-knowledge architecture, your password is never stored externally. If forgotten, it is technically impossible to recover data or reset the password.
4. Backup and Data Management (.pnd)
The 'Export' mechanism saves your vault data onto your local storage as a cryptographic '.pnd' file sealed with your Master Password. Securing this backup file, managing its storage, or remembering its specific password is entirely the user's responsibility.
5. Biometric Authentication Security
The biometric unlock features operate via local APIs provided by your device's operating system (Android/iOS). PassNode never reads, processes, or retains your biometric data. Liability for operating system vulnerabilities belongs solely to the user.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
PassNode provides this service on an 'as is' basis, without warranties of any kind. PassNode shall not be legally held liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from device theft, hardware failure, OS crashes, or malware compromising your physical device.
7. Intellectual Property & Limited License
The PassNode name, logo, source code, animation algorithms, and interface designs belong exclusively to the developers of PassNode. Any reverse engineering, cloning, or commercial exploitation of the software assets is strictly prohibited and subject to legal prosecution.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction (Republic of Turkey)
Any disputes, claims, or legal proceedings arising out of or in connection with this agreement or the use of the Application shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey (T.C.). Authorized local Turkish Courts and Execution Offices shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
